The Rebel Gears Family
The legacy of Rebel Gears is deeply rooted in a family tradition of innovation and expertise in sprocket manufacturing. It all began with Chuck Trantham’s pioneering work in 1948, crafting aluminum sprockets for his own use, leading to the establishment of CT Alloy Products in 1950. Doug, joining the family business as a teenager, and Sandy, who started in 1980 and continues to ship products today, have both contributed significantly to the company’s growth.
Rebel Gears was founded in 1997, with Brad crafting his first sprocket at a young age and later taking charge of CNC operations. With experience dating back to 1948, Rebel Gears boasts the longest history of sprocket manufacturing in America. As an OEM manufacturer referred to as “the sprocket specialists” by competitors, the company offers an unparalleled range of tooth sizes and model applications.
Doug, with over 49 years of experience, and Brad, with 24 years, embody the passion and dedication that have become synonymous with Rebel Gears. Their combined 121 years of experience in manufacturing and distributing motorcycle sprockets is a testament to the family’s commitment to excellence and the trust they’ve earned within the industry. Whether in the workshop or out riding on weekends, the Chestnuts family’s love for motorcycles and sprockets shines through in every aspect of their business.
We would like to thank each and everyone who has helped us continue this awesome legacy we are so very proud of.
